Palomas Mensajeras Mexicano 750ml - A Unique Agave Spirit from Michoacán Palomas Mensajeras Mexicano is a distinctive spirit crafted with care in the picturesque lake-side community of Oponguio, Michoacán. This exceptional spirit is the product of maestro vinatero Don Miguel Perez Resendiz and his sons Miguel Jr. and Melltón, representing four generations of mezcal-making expertise. The Agave What sets this spirit apart is its use of Agave rhodacantha, commonly known as maguey Mexicano. Interestingly, this agave is not native to Michoacán. Don Miguel collected the seeds during a trip to Oaxaca decades ago and planted them on his own land. Through careful cultivation, the family now maintains a sustainable supply of Agave rhodacantha in Michoacán. Production Process Cooking: The agaves are cooked in a traditional underground pit oven.
