Tropical Waters - 100% Baby Alpaca/ Sport Weight Base

This lovely color is on our three ply, 100% Baby Alpaca, Sport Weight base.  There are approximately 290 yards of gorgeous yarn per skein.  In the fourth photo the bases are as follows, from left to right, Fingering, Sport, Alpaca and Bulky.   We source our Alpaca from Peru, as they produce the best quality Alpaca in the world, for their fibers are the softest and the finest.  This yarn comes from a young alpaca’s first shearing, and is more delicate than many other fibers.  Baby Alpaca is both incredibly soft and very lightweight.  It is also naturally hypoallergenic, which makes it a wonderful choice for people who have allergies, or who are sensitive to other types of fibers.    Alpacas are also extremely gentle on the environment, as they require very little resources while being raised.  Therefore, Baby Alpaca Fiber is a very sustainable choice, for those who are looking to reduce their impact on the environment.   Baby Alpaca is also extremely durable which makes it a great choic
