Obverse:Laureate head of Nero facing right.Legend: NERO CAESAR AVG GERM IMPTranslation: "Nero Caesar Augustus Germanicus, Imperator"The legend refers to Nero’s titles, including his victories in Germany and his acclamation as emperor. Reverse:Victory advancing left, holding a shield inscribed SPQR (“Senatus Populusque Romanus” – The Senate and the People of Rome).Legend: S C (Senatus Consulto – By decree of the Senate)Victory's depiction emphasizes imperial legitimacy and public approval. References: S.1976, RIC 312, BMC 241 Coh. 288Condition: Very Fine to Extremely Fine (VF–EF), dark brown patina with high-relief details visible, particularly in the portrait and Victory’s wings. Sharp obverse legend and minimal wear to reverse imagery.  Rare.Provenance: Private Maryland Collection, acquired in the 1980s.
