This is a wood fired slab/platter that experienced unique cracks during the firing which resembled lightning. It was intriguing enough to collaborate with a kintsugi artist that works with traditional urushi, and platinum suited it more than gold. Both the top and the bottom of this piece were repaired with urushi and platinum, making it completely sealed. It can be exhibited as a stand alone art piece or used for food.
