Study, The Morning Commute

When you're an artist, you can get away with doing semi-weird things. Like walking behind people in the city and then choosing them as subjects based upon their silhouette and vibe.  I came across this moment during a winter morning in Lower Manhattan. I liked the spare simplicity of shapes and colors combined with the raking sunlight and the woman's profile. There are wonderful stories behind these moments, and we can imagine different possibilities about what the day ahead holds for her.
