What’s a boysenberry? It’s an amazing hybrid berry with genetics that come from raspberries, blackberries and loganberries, which in themselves are a mix of raspberries and blackberries. These vining brambles produce large, dark berries that look like blackberries when fully ripe. They are sweet in flavor with a hint of tartness. They were developed by Rudolph Boysen in Anaheim, California but made popular by Walter and Cordelia Knott of Knott's Berry Farm when sold as jams, preserves, and pies.
