Alexis Hudon Matouse 2021, Vin de France

Matousè is made from 4 different Sauvignon Blanc parcels with vines from 70, 40, 15 and 10 years old. Selected from a vineyard with limestone, clay and flint stone soils in the region of Touraine, Loire Valley.  Alexis used a long cold temperature winemaking process in a fiberglass vat, with little filtration and minimal sulfur to give pure flavors and dense texture.  Matousè is a nutty, rich Sauvignon Blanc. It is clean and complex. There is an elegant depth to this wine with consistent acidity rolling across the tongue.
