Petilia Taurasi DOCG 450V 2015, Campania

A complex and enticing nose of red and black cherries, violets, prune, walnut, eucalyptus, vanilla, licorice, coffee and light sweet spice. Wonderfully full-bodied with great structure on the palate and a layered texture with notes of blueberries, sweet and savory spices, cocoa and coffee, and firm, ripe tannins that manage to create a very long and flavorful finish, that is actually quite wonderful. Delicious. Tempting to drink now, but will continue to improve if you exercise restraint.
