TRISAGION
Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us…. The Trisagion prayer is read daily, morning and night in every Orthodox Christians’ prayer rule. It is chanted in liturgical services by the reader, and also sung as a hymn by the choir. It is an appeal to the all Holy Good and life creating Trinity for divine mercy. Trisagion derives from Greek, meaning Thrice Holy and refers to the three titles or names of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We make the sign of the cross upon each saying of “Holy God” and it is repeated 3x in prayer. This prayer originates from scripture both in the old and New Testament. The holy prophet Isaiah heard the angelic hymn as written in Isaiah: "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts, the whole earth is full of His glory.” - Isaiah 6:3. It can also be found in the Book of St. John’s Revelation: "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is to come!" - Revelation 4:8. •Designed, printed, cut and sewn from premium USA grown, harvested and mill
