TCA Cross Technique For Acne Mini Course

What is TCA? TCA is an abbreviation for trichloroacetic acid, which is typically used in low concentrations for chemical peels and low-high concentrations for addressing acne scarring.  In this training course we will be using 30% concentration to address acne scars.  The TCA CROSS procedure involves depositing very small amounts of the acid directly into the ice pick scar. As a result, a local inflammatory reaction takes place which leads to help the natural formation of new collagen. The objective is to support and improve the appearance of the scar by increasing collagen inside the scar and reduce shadows that cast over scar depressions. Certification is granted upon successful completion. An exam will be given at the end of the course where a passing score of 80% much be achieved.
