SLx-WDP USB Slot Badge Scanner

The SLx-WDP are Slot Badge scanners with the decoder built right in and USB HID Keyboard output! No more separate decoder box and scanner just to read bar coded cards and badges! This reader connects directly to the USB port of any compatible Windows® PC or Macintosh® and transmits the barcode data as if it had been typed in. Just as with our other WDP models, there is no additional software required. This reader is perfect for any applications where a card would be presented, i.e. library, health club, etc... The visible light model SLV-WDP complete with USB cable is only $149. The infrared light model SLI-WDP complete with USB cable is also only $149. It is used for security situations where the bar code needs to be invisible to a human but still readable using the infrared light.  The bar code can be printed with infrared absorbing ink and then a second ink or laminate overtop, that passes the infrared light through, hides the bar code from human eyes.
