Norma Jumper Pattern

Norma Jumper is the twin sister to my Norma cardigan. This comfy and relaxed jumper with short sleeves has a classic feel and can be worn for much of the year. If you’d like to make a warmer version, instructions for full-length and ¾ length sleeves are included in this pattern. Knit with Brooklyn Tweed Shelter, it’s a quick knit. The yoke is mostly worked in 2 colors, but occasionally you will need to knit with three colors at once. You can knit this in the spring or summer, or even in the winter when you are dreaming of spring. The yoke has a cheery Swedish rose motif. Inspired by my grandmother, who grew roses in a climate that was too cold for roses. By covering the roots with hay, and protecting them even during the harshest winter, she defied nature. The Norma Jumper reminds me that beauty is so worth the effort and extra love and care always pays off.
