Description The Saturn 15B optical scanner is specifically designed to meet the demands of applications having apertures in the 10mm to 20mm range, such as laser marking, laser welding, via-hole drilling, SLS 3D printing and large-beam laser displays. Several coil configurations are available including one with very low inductance and low coil resistance optimized for the fastest step-times, and another with moderate resistance and inductance optimized for large-signal applications such as laser displays. Features of the Saturn 15b Galvanometer The Saturn 15B has nearly the same dimensions as a Cambridge model 6230 but around half the weight, so it may serve as a drop-in replacement that also offers a significant performance upgrade, particularly in applications that are sensitive to electrical power consumption and heat generation. The Saturn 15B has a rotor inertia of 0.54 Gm•Cm2, which is an inertia presently not served by other galv
