Large 2 Year Old Plants -We have learned that pruning cane to 4 inches tall increases survival rate. So canes will be pruned when you receive. Produces a medium/large berry in early Summer and an additional smaller crop in the Fall in USDA zones 4-8. Developed by the N.Y. State Experiment Station, Geneva, N.Y, this variety has excellent winter hardiness and produces an abundant crop of berries on sturdy vigorous canes. Great for fresh eating, desserts, jams and freezing. Plants are nearly thornless. These plants bore fruit last year and will produce fruit in the Fall...and in the Spring and Fall of following years, depending on how plants are managed. Plants were originally 5+ foot tall, but will be pruned to 4 inches tall for proper planting height. This forces buds from the lower cane and roots which will produce more fruit this year.
