Dolgo Crabapple -Malus x 'Dolgo' - Free Shipping Dolgo Crabapple is a beautiful flowering  tree with excellent cold tolerance, and disease resistance to most common apple diseases. It grows in USDA zones 3-9. It produces profuse white/ light pink fragrant blossoms in the Spring, followed by dark green leaves and a huge crop of crab apples that are up to 2 inches in diameter. Because of its long bloom time, Dolgo is an excellent pollinizer for other apple and crab apple trees. Dolgo is self fertile. Dolgo crab apples have a sweet-tart flavor that reminds many of candied cranberries.  Can be eaten fresh where they are crisp, juicy, and full of flavor. Since the crab apples have a crimson red skin, it makes a great addition to ciders, sorbets, chutney and jellies adding a rich red color. Fruit ripens in August and September and holds on the tree into December, making a colorful addition to the Fall/ Winter landscape. Dolgo is a easy to care for, all purpose crab apple, Dolgo will survive
