Yellow Eyed Grass (Sisyrinchium californicum) This perennial herb likes moist environments. Native to California and Oregon coast to British Columbia. A member of the Iris family, Yellow Eyed Grass has blade-like leaves and yellow star-shaped flowers that bloom from May throughout the growing season. Grows 8-10 inches tall. Tolerates flooding. Available Spring 2026 Forms small clumps an prefers full sun on the cooler Coast and part sun part shade in hotter inland/ mountain areas. Ideal for moist garden areas, rain gardens and containers with other moisture loving plants. Thrives in semi-submerged containers in ponds. Yellow Eyed Grass will naturalize / self seed in wet, boggy, conditions, but needs regular watering in other areas. Grows in all moist soil types. Has several Medicinal Uses. Deer Resistant. 8/25
