West Condensers
The West condenser, a thinner variant of the Liebig condenser, features a narrow annular space between the coolant jacket and the inner tube. This design allows for a faster coolant speed and, consequently, enhanced cooling efficiency due to the increased flow rate of the cooling medium. The effective height is measured from the top to the bottom of the jacketed portion of the condenser. All condensers have an I.D. of approximately 10 mm. Please note, the overall height is measured manually and there might be slight discrepancies. The condenser features two standard taper joints of the same size: a top outer (female) joint and a lower inner (male) joint. Made of borosilicate glass for its excellent chemical durability and mechanical strength. Specifications: Catalog Number Joint Size Overall Height (mm) Effective Height (mm) O.D.
