About this piece This piece is made of meteorite with a sterling silver chain. The meteorite pendant is inspired by the OSIRIS-REx sample return capsule. 4.5-billion-year-old meteorite While 101955 Bennu's asteroid sample will be used for science, we found the next best thing for jewelry: 4.5-billion-year-old Muonionalusta meteorite. This meteorite crashed on Earth about 1 million years ago. Muonionalusta consists mostly of iron-nickel and while its molten metal was cooling down over millions of years formed a beautiful christiline structure known as Widmanstätten patterns[Wikipedia].
