Road To Lassen
The plan was simple: spend a few nights backpacking in Lassen National Park, exploring its rugged landscapes and untouched beauty. But something I did not expect... the real joy of the trip would come from the drive there. The morning I set off, the soft golden light of the early morning stretched across the sky, casting a magical glow over everything. As I made my way closer to the park, something caught my eye. The road ahead curved through towering pine trees, and there in the distance stood Mount Lassen, perfectly framed by the forest, bathed in the soft light of dawn. The sight was too beautiful to pass up, I had to pull over. Heart pounding with excitement, I walked to the middle of the road. The silence around me was broken only by the faint rustling of leaves and the distant whisper of the wind. I knelt down to frame the shot, the road leading straight into the wilderness, Lassen standing tall in the background, and the trees casting long shadows on the pavement, it was surreal
