Snow Cave Fall
I had always wanted to explore Sonora Pass, it was one of the few sections of the Northern Sierra that I hadn't been to. I set out eager to see what Highway 108 had in store. The drive was peaceful, the fresh scent of pine filled the air, and as I got up high in the mountains I was amazed by towering peaks, flowing streams, and beautiful landscapes. As I rounded a bend in the road, something caught my eye—a waterfall in the distance, glistening under the midday sun. Without thinking, I pulled over, grabbed my camera, and set off to investigate. The scramble up the rocky hillside wasn’t long, as I climbed, the sound of rushing water grew louder, its roar mingling with the occasional gust of wind. The waterfall was hidden just out of view, but I could feel its presence, like a beacon drawing me closer. And then, I saw it.
