Purpleheart Jo Staffs, All Lengths/Widths

     This listing is for a Purpleheart Wooden Jo Staffs of various lengths. These staffs are an upgrade to common bamboo or rattan staffs. The Jo Staff is a traditional Okinawan self-defense weapon used in Kobudo style martial arts. These particular staffs are 48-56" inches in length. These staffs have a constant diameter of 1" 1,1/8" or 1,1/4" throughout.      1" Is the standard thickness for a martial arts staff and is excellent for kata and demonstration. 1,1/8 gives it a heavy feel which can still be used with some speed, and 1,1/4 is for the heaviest applications.        The materials consist of purpleheart wood which is one of the most beautiful woods. Its hardness is comparable to hickory and has a natural dark purple color.
