Hickory Bo Staff 60"-72"x1" Lightweight, Tapered

     These are full length handmade Hickory Wooden Bo Staffs. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts. This particular staff is 1" in diameter in the center portion and tapers to approximately 3/4 at the tips.  These staffs range from 60" to 72"      The materials consist of solid hickory. Hickory is the hardest available North American Hardwood, and is excellent for all uses.      The staffs in this listing are made from lighter weight hickory, making these appropriate for spinning, exercise, and tournament use, while still retaining the strength of hickory. These are not made for contact. If you would like a contact ready staff, please purchase one of the thicker varieties at 1,1/8" or 1,1/4". Because of the taper, these staffs can be rotated much faster than straight staffs, making these perfect for tournament use, or spinning.
