Holographic Striped Hickory Staffs 1" diameter Various Lengths
These are handmade rare Curly Hickory Wooden Bo Staffs. The Bo Staff is a traditional Okinawan training tool used in Kobudo style martial arts training. These particular staffs are 1" in diameter throughout its entire length. 72" is the traditional length for full-size bo staffs. Shorter sizes are available as well. These staffs are un-tapered. The materials consist of solid hickory. Hickory is the hardest available North American Hardwood and is excellent for all uses. The specimens of hickory used in the making of these staffs are extremely rare. The striped pattern is holographic, meaning when you rotate the staff In front of you, the dark sections become white, and the white sections become dark, as the light refracts off of the staff. The striped grain happens in trees that are under extreme pressure due to its weight or shape, and this causes the grain to fold on itself.
