Embossed Silver-Plated Copper Trinket Box w/ Porcelain Lid with Blue Flowers

This vintage box is quite rare and collectible. The lid appears to be made of a piece of recycled porcelain pottery painted with a large blue flower, perhaps a peony, and bunches of leaves. Inside the lid there is a mirror! The box is embossed copper with a thin layer of silver plating. The lid fits the box snugly but will come off if you shake it upside down, so I wouldn't use it to transport things in a purse.I estimate this sweet box was made in the 1960s or early '70s. Measurements: Height with lid on is about 9/10s of an inch. The lid is 1-3/4 X 2 inches. The inside depth is 1/4 inch.Condition: Very good.***Will be shipped securely -- double boxed with plenty of padding.***
