The case as been polished in the past. The case presents wear commensurate with its age. The crown was replaced sometime in the past. The lug width measures 20mm.  DIAL:  An original V&C dial. This dial is a wonderful example of the many techniques that V&C employed in the 1940s including an enamel dial, raised enamel signature, raised railroad minute track and a snailed subsecond register. It features pink gold applied alternating dagger and pyramid style hour markers with matching pink gold pencil hour, minute and second hands. An exceedingly high percentage of vintage Vacheron dials have been refinished in the past. This is particularly attributable to a lack of sufficient hermetic seal.
