The interior of the ring is stamped with the maker's mark of "BDA," which is the mark of Budlong Docherty & Armstrong of Providence, Rhode Island, established in 1915 - a collectible and sought-after vintage brand. The ring features a large, flat oval gemstone in a deep shade of "Aggie" maroon. The gemstone is bezel set in gold and edged in delicate milgrain. The university seal is set in the center of the gemstone. The seal is a large, flat circle of solid 10k gold with scalloped edges. The center of the seal bears the T-Star logo in raised gold (T for Texas and Star for the Lone Star State). The star is framed by a large raised gold wreath.
