This is used when pilings don't directly align with the tabs on the dock block. An off-center connection attached to two sets of tabs on the side of the dock block strengthens the connection between the flex slide and the dock block. When we refer to no stiffeners, we are talking about the stiffeners that dock blocks provide that connect one cube to another on the side.
