This little beauty is a 'rebus' or a word puzzle. Rebus' were very common during Georgian and Victorian times, allowing someone to express their feelings in a discreet and subtle manner. Rebus messages were either all pictograms or a combination like this one, of words and pictures that when strung together form a message.
