Dried flowers and plants hang from the ceilings all strung out with purpose.  In the Victorian era, the hedge witch was a figure lingering at the edges—both literally and socially. These women, often poor and rural, practiced folk herbalism, midwifery, and traditional healing passed down orally for generations. The name “hedge witch” comes from their liminal position—living near the hedgerows that marked the boundary between village and wilderness, safety and superstition.
