This is such a special timepiece because, as an American railroad watch, it had to uphold a standard of timekeeping within 4 seconds per day, or 30 seconds per week. This is tighter tolerance than COSC Chronometer certification. The Illinois Bunn Special is the most collectible pocket watch. The dial is excellent- a beautiful white ceramic dial with bold, black Breguet numerals, black and red Arabic minutes with stick indices, and a sub second dial at the 6 position. All hands are a blued steel spade shape showing light patina. The movement is a manual wind, grade Bunn Special, model 9, size 16s, with 21 jewels and has been adjusted for temperature and six positions. It is openface with a stem wind and lever set, and the balance wheel has a double roller. The crystal is plastic with a screw-on cover and a screw-on
