BENRUS In the early 1920's worldwide pocketwatch manufacture and sales were on the decline, it was then that three young brothers saw an opportunity to begin a wristwatch company, to produce moderately priced watches for the common-man, BENRUS. Benrus Watch Company, an American company, founded in New York City in 1921 by three brothers: Oscar, Benjamin and Ralph; Romanian immigrants. The name "BENRUS" was a combination of Benjamin Lazrus first and last names. Hence "BEN"jamin laz"RUS". From the 1960's, still preserve in time, this is a very nice timepiece, a Benrus wristwatch. It is a manual wind watch with a Benrus movement model DN21 caliber ETA 1280, 17 jewels, sub second hand. A beautiful +60 years old precious timepiece in perfect working order. It is an unique round case and lugs design, all in 10K rolled gold plated. The crystal is in good condition.
