THANK YOU TEACHER

“When I was growing up, giving a teacher an apple was a popular way to show your appreciation,” recalls Angie Whitehurst who helped create this card. “But these days, in this economy, our teachers need more than just a piece of fruit. They deserve higher pay and greater respect.” We agree wholeheartedly with Angie and stand with teachers everywhere for a fair wage.  Although this card may not contain a life-changing paycheck, we do hope that it reminds the teachers in your life of their value - not just to their students but also to the larger communities who benefit from all of their hard work. While no longer homeless, Angie’s housing instability goes back to the 1980s.
