It is a double cylinder deadbolt which means that it takes a key to lock or unlock the door on either side. The bolt automatically deadlocks when fully thrown. The finish is a 605 bright brass finish which will match your existing hardware. The General Lock D362 605 is designed to retrofit doors from 1-1/2" to 2-1/8". The bolt features a 1" throw and solid steel bolt. It has a 25-year mechanical warranty and a 5-year finish warranty.
