The Winchester Ranger 34 Gun Safe has a proven 60 minute fire rating, tested at outside temperatures up to 1400 degrees F. The Palusol Heat expanding door seal expands to over 6 times it's size when exposed to heat. This creates a barrier against heat and smoke. The fire protection uses UL rated fireboard in the ceiling, walls and the door. The external solid strap hinges allow full fire protection vs internal hinges which have gaps and weak points in the fireboard
