The Yamantaka Mandala Puja is a powerful and profound Vajrayana Buddhist ritual centered on the wrathful meditational deity, Yamantaka (Slayer of the Lord of Death). This elaborate ceremony is performed within the visualization of Yamantaka's celestial dwelling (Mandala). The purpose is to purify negative karma, overcome obstacles especially the fundamental obstacle of the fear of death and quickly generate wisdom and compassion. It is a high-level practice aimed at realizing the illusory nature of all phenomena, including the ego and mortality itself.
