While it should be no surprise that I am partial to a tree in a basket, a tree in a crock is a close second.  We collected many crocks through my childhood from loved ones and used them for storing baseball bats and umbrellas.  Only in adulthood did I start marveling at the decorative uses of our crocks outside of the purely utilitarian.   This sweet little sapling in a laurel wreath crock is such a timeless evergreen for your winter home.
