**THE PRICE ON THIS ITEM IS NOT A TYPO.  IN ORDER TO OFFER THIS VARIETY, I HAD TO PRICE IT AT $1.99** Seed Count: Approx. 10 seeds Days to Maturity: 65 Days Description:  The Suyo Long is an almost seedless, old heirloom cucumber originally from Northern China.  The thin fleshed fruits are burpless, crisp, sweet, tender, and never bitter.  They are perfect for slicing and fresh eating or pickling.  The long, dark green, ribbed fruits can grow to 15-18 inches.  The 5 ft. vines should be trained to grow on a trellis, if you want straight fruit.  If you don't mind curved fruit, however, you can let them sprawl on the ground.  The Suyo Long is powdery mildew resistant, heat tolerant, and very productive.  This variety is parthenocarpic, meaning that the female flowers do not have to be pollinated to make fruits.  Since the flowers don't have to be pollinated, they end up producing seedless fruits!  Make sure to use a towel to wipe off the brittle white spines.
