Brown sugar, molasses, candied pecans, raisin, tobacco, and even that warmed leather note I like so much in well aged bourbons. The palate is dense and syrupy, with tiny waves of smoke to boot. Toffee, coconut, coffee, leather, raisin and plum, and a transition to fresh herbs like thyme and rosemary. The finish continues with dark fruit and plenty of caramel with a freshly ground coffee note continuing on. About: This rum represents the tradition, craft and legacy of Demerara rum-making. It is a distinct blend of rums drawn from the French Savalle Still and the Diamond Coffey Still, with a small share coming from the Port Mourant Double Wooden Pot Still.
