The whiskies from a single distillation run, made from 100% Golden Promise malted barley, were aged in new American, European, and French oak for 3 years. Then those were combined and finished for 1 year and 8 months in a barrel that previously held Balcones Peated single malt whiskey. So this whiskey itself is not peated, but the finish in an ex-peated cask imparts a substantially smoky flavor of its own.
