The high proof takes a little longer to settle. Once it does, the nose is a thing of beauty! The nose is candied ginger and orange marmalade. The palate opens with gingerbread cookies, caramel and stewed apples. It's rich and sweet. The palate is viscous and drinks much lower than it's stated 131 proof. On the finish there's a flash of nutmeg, tangerine and toasted oak. Dried spices linger on this long finish. After a less than 24-hour sell out of 006 we immediately went back to the drawing board. Our goal was to make this bottle available through the holidays. We think it's the best $100 option on the market, but that does no good if it's sold out.
