RARE BISBEE BLUE TURQUOISE NECKLACE & EARRINGS SET Bisbee Blue Turquoise nuggets, sterling silver Saucers, blue crystal spacers (man-made), sterling silver plated clasp and beadwire, two metal dragonflies signifying transformation at nape of the neck. Earrings are Sterling Silver French Hooks (marked 925), on sterling silver bead pins. This Arizona Turquoise is called Bisbee Blue, and is a very high grade. It has an almost Lapis color with a dark matrix, with patches of light blue throughout. Bisbee Blue Turquoise is known for its unique and rare color spectrum as well as for its natural hardness. They say the darker the color, the harder it is. The color comes from being found in and around the copper mines, but Bisbee Blue has not been mined officially since 1980.
