Sometimes Words Get In The Way is a deeply soulful and intimate instrumental album by Room2Breathe, released on September 12, 2024 — one of two albums launched that day in honor of my late father’s birthday. This project holds a very special place in my heart, inspired by the beautiful bond I witnessed between my father and uncle as they shared their love for jazz and blues while growing up. All the songs on this album are produced by me, intentionally crafted with no words. It’s designed to capture the essence of a simple, peaceful afternoon on the porch—just me and two of my favorite guys, sippin’ something cold, letting the record spin, and feeling the breeze blow. The music serves as a soundtrack to that calm, reflective space where words aren’t needed because words sometimes get in the way of your healing. Sometimes, you just have to feel the feelings.
