Pathfinder Scout Tarp
Tentsmiths and Pathfinder Survival have worked together to come up with the Pathfinder Scout Tarp, a hybridized version of the very old George Tent which itself was an evolution of the Tarp Tent. The intent in each version is to utilize the least amount of fabric to produce the most amount of shelter. The shape of the Pathfinder Scout Tarp makes it more weatherproof than a regular tarp tent. With a footprint 6′ deep and 8′ wide when lifted to 4’ 6” at its peak, this 8 pound 6 ounce tarp is more than enough for one person and plenty of gear or two lightly padded adults to sleep comfortably. The vestibule shaped frontispiece keeps the tarp tensioned if at least one wing is left staked. With a pyramidal shape the wind will have a pretty tough time trying to knock this thing down. The opening overlaps and toggles inside and out. Erection options include a reinforced peak area for a pole and external loop for a lifting line if desired.
