A mix of glass beads, freshwater pearls, and seed beads. Many of the beads are one of a kind, so each necklace may vary slightly. 15 inches + 2 inch extender. Gold-plated findings. Named after Gabriela Mistral (pseudonym for Lucila Godoy Alcayaga), the first Latin American author to receive a Nobel Prize in Literature in 1945. She was an elementary school teacher in her Chilean village until her poetry made her famous. She was also known for boldly advocating for women's and children's rights! An all around badass.
