Mojo beans are widely used for wish-fulfillment work. Some folks carry one as a lucky pocket piece, especially if it's been blessed on St. Joseph's feast day. They also often make their way into mojo bags and similar charms and are called for in some old-school St. Joseph formulas. A slightly more complex wishing rite instructs you to make a wish or wishes and carry one bean for each wish in your pocket for a week. (Odd numbers are best.) At the end of the week, throw the beans into running water, calling out for your wish to be fulfilled in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and walk away without looking back.
