Designed to fit 1.5 mL centrifuge tubes with conical bottoms, this separator uses the strongest neodymium magnets available to quickly and effectively pull magnetic beads from your sample suspension. Depending on the viscosity of your suspension, it takes seconds to a couple of minutes to clear the solution from the magnetic beads.  Within a minute, the beads will accumulate near the side of the tube, allowing you to easily pipette out your liquid without the risk of accidentally taking up any beads. This separator is compatible with any purification kits based on paramagnetic beads, making it a versatile tool for many applications, such as purifying PCR products or selecting DNA strands of a particular size from a DNA library.
