One of my earliest memories is being four years old, sitting on the floor of my living room, watching a commercial for Hooked on Phonics (the 90s!) and begging my mom to teach me to read. Throughout my childhood, reading was a huge part of my life. I often read at lunch or during leisure classroom time, I worked in my school library in high school, and I studied English Literature in college.
