The unique blend of purple and gold reminds one of morning and evening skies, and other beautiful natural things. For this stone in particular, there are rampant fake, glass options on the market. Buy with confidence at SFJ. According to the GIA: "This transparent quartz has colors of both amethyst and citrine, and is called ametrine or amethyst-citrine. The only commercial source of ametrine is Bolivia."
