A beautiful and unique spinel gemstone with a soft purple hue and a two-tone filigree sterling setting. The gemstone is set in a beautiful filigree with pave diamonds on the band. Spinel was recently added as an August birthstone, sharing this month with peridot and sardonyx. It's red version has long been mistaken for ruby by emperors and monarchs.
