Fox and the Grapes Aesop Fable
This charm depicts the ancient Aesop fable of the Fox and the Grapes. Pictured is a fox retreating from a garden surrounded by the French caption "Ils Sont Trop Verds" meaning "They are too Green". The Fox, driven by hunger, tries and tries to reach the grapes hanging high on a vine, but is unsuccessful. The Fox proclaims "Oh you aren't even ripe yet! I don't need any sour grapes!", the moral of the story being it is easy to despise what you cannot have. The term "sour grapes" comes from this fable. This pendant is a reminder that there are many who pretend to despise and belittle that which is beyond their reach, but do not give up and do not be "sour grapes" about disappointment, rather, try until you succeed.Details☛Your jewelry comes beautifully GIFT BOXED and INCLUDES a CARD with the CHARMS MEANING & SYMBOLISM, READY FOR GIFTING! ►Size: charm measures 5/8" in diameter►Materials: Sterling Silver►Necklace Option: You may chose to order JUST the pendant or select from a variety o
